Where To Stay & Things to Do
If you are traveling a long distance to fish or fancy an extended period fishing either Murphy's or Woodside pond, why not consider staying in, or around, the Thorganby area.
There are two businesses offering bed and breakfast in Thorganby Village;

Paul & Helene Tulip. Contact Paul Tulip on 01904 448 914, email; [email protected]
In addition to B&B, Thorganby has two local pubs; The Ferry Boat Inn (Contact Phil & Jackie on 01904 448 224), was named best pub in Yorkshire by CAMRA in September 2010 (click here for more details) , and the Jefferson Arms (Contact Marcus Georgiou on 01904 448 316), recently under new management, offers fine dining as well as a place to drop in for a freindly pint. (click here for more details).
If a spot of river fishing is in order, day tickets for the River Derwent can be purchased from Phil or Jackie at The Ferry Boat.
If you fancy something a bit more energetic, Thorganby is the home of the Yorkshire Paintballing Centre, which is the largest paintball facility in the North of England. (click here for more details).
