Murphy's Pond
A large pond, that feels like a small one.......
Murphy's Pond has 43 pegs, in a labyrinth of nooks and crannies; offering you the choice of fishing in the open or finding a secluded spot to set up. The pond snakes around three islands, two of which can be fished and accessed via sturdy bridges.
If variety of catch is your thing, this is the pond for you. Mirror and Common Carp (5lb + up to mid 20lb) cruise the waters alongside F1 carp ranging between 1.5 to 3.5 lbs. In addition to Carp, the pond also offers, Bream, Roach, Tench, Ide, Rudd, Perch and Chub.
Murphy's Pond is well-established with good marginal vegetation including reeds and small trees, which offer shelter and interest for both fish and angler alike.
Murphy's Pond has its own separate car park, allowing access for the disabled angler.
If you fancy a stroll between bites, a public footpath linking Wheldrake to Thorganby can be found just outside the entrance to the pond.
